Presenting and Supporting Folk & Acoustic Music
in the Washington, DC Area

So, You'd Like to Play a Focus Show?

What Should You Send? The Focus booking committee will respond to your email inquiry. Please include links to your website, electronic press kit, and songs we can listen to online. Please do not send an unsolicited press kit and CD. Please realize that your website says a lot about you and how seriously you promote your gigs.

We especially want to see:

  • A succinct (50-75 word) bio that can easily transfer to press releases and our promo materials.

  • Downloadable, press-quality photos.

  • Full-length audio and video clips, especially that tell us how you will sound in a live performance.

Requirements:
Focus books performers of all levels for cameos, openings acts, split bills, and full-length feature performances. Most of the performers are best described as contemporary folk-acoustic singer-songwriters, and our audiences like to hear every word. But they also like a bit of blues, country, comedy, Americana, international and traditional. The most important factor is that you be REALLY GOOD at what you do!

Thank you for your interest in Focus. We look forward to meeting you.
